Enriched Consulting was born in the UK in 2007 in Brentwood,Essex as a product of 14 years of Sales and Marketing experience at the highest level, a Computer Science Degree and a desire to share that accumulated knowledge. Nine years and 12,500 miles later, that experience has grown exponentially and now calls Brighton, Dunedin home.
Richard Knights BSc(Hons), Managing Director of Enriched Consulting Ltd, started selling in the FMCG arena in 1993 for ITL Ltd (then part of Hanson Plc) and had four very successful years selling to the independent retail trade in the East End of London. The next 19 years have been spent presenting and selling wide ranging technological solutions for IRIS Software, Genesys Conferencing, Destiny Wireless, Purple Passport, Canon NZ and Fairfax Media, all market leaders and household names in their respective market places. The hugely diverse nature of these companies has meant that experience has been gained at all levels of both UK & NZ business from SME and independent trade through to presentations at board level of multinational blue chip organisations. This experience has been gained through a variety of guises: conceptual selling, consultative selling or solution selling. Regardless of the size of the company, however, first impressions count and the chance to make a good one can never be repeated. Anyone who has been in sales for any length of time will tell you that people most definitely buy from people, and a large part of Richard’s success has come from his ability to present himself in the professional and friendly style that has endeared him to his clients long after the sale was finalised.
